Child’s Social Worker, Nicola Slavin contacted the School following the Annual Review to request an EP review focussing on possible sensory integration difficulties that had been discussed by My colleague, Jo Bispham ( trainee EP ). She explained that there were some differences in opinion and Child no longer appears to exhibit the types of behaviours detailed that indicated possible sensory integration difficulties.
I agreed to visit the School to observe Child and to meet with his Mother, father, foster carer, social worker and class teacher in an attempt to clarify this issue.
We talked about Child’s sensory needs and established that he no longer exhibits the types of behaviours that had previously led to the hypothesis put forward that he might have sensory integration difficulties.
Child has an appointment shortly with Dr. Fernando ( Paediatric Consultant ) to further explore his needs.
Review Date
It was agreed that there was no need for continue EP involvement. Child should continue to be discussed at the termly consultation meeting and it may be appropriate for further EP or SEBSS involvement in the future.

When to School meeting in January 2012 and Trish Cabell, foster carer was there waiting for The Social worker, Nicola slavin. I ask about Enhanced fostering agency coming, but Trish Cabell said that The social worker decided there didn’t need to come and it just had to me us Parents with them two and Kate Lee and child’s Teacher, Mr. Gough.
Our meeting before this was back in November, where Trish Cabell, foster carer had wanted Dr. Banks report looked into and so we all agreed that we would at that time contact The Social worker, Nicola Slavin, as she didn’t attend that November.
Within School meeting now in January 2012, The foster carer and Social Worker were saying how well Child was doing and Trish Cabell said that she didn’t think child had any Problems at all and she had not notice anything about what had been said or written about child. I did bring up Dr. Banks and Kate Lee ask The social worker, Nicola Slavin who he was and she said he’s just a Doctor.
That is when outside School I ask The Social worker, Nicola slavin about this meeting next we were having with Dr. Fernando at Yeovil Hospital on the 23 January 2012. I ask if anyone was coming and she said no only us again as Parents and her and Trish Cabell and then I ask about what information Dr. Fernando had or needed and she said nothing as he was The Expert in that field and didn’t need any other information or reports.
